Mukesh Ambani’s sons Anant’s pre-wedding three day extravaganza at Jamnapur in India has set social media ablaze with colour full images and videos of homegrown and international celebrities in glittering outfits and dripping diamonds, all converged there to bless the happy couple.

They say money talks, but in Ambanis case money also moves the asses of people like Rhianna to perform live after eight years.

My friend, yesterday scrolling through insta stories of the Ambani’s event commented with a sign, “ If only I was a quarter as blessed as the Ambanis!”

“But you are”, I said, “Not a quarter, though. You are just as blessed as the Ambanis”.

As she opened her mouth to protest my claim, I held up my hand and said, “We need to look into your definition of blessing!”

“You see”, I continued, “It doesnot bode well for a fair and benevolent God if He is seen to favour some humans over others. So He makes sure that every human is blessed equally so. Whether you believe it or not, you really are as blessed as the Ambanis. God would not have it any other way!”

“Then why do we see so much discrepancies in the state of humans”, my friend responded. “Thousands in Gaza have lost their homes and are starving. Thousands have been killed brutally including innocent children. And here we see Insta reels after reels of one family spending millions for not even a wedding, a pre-wedding extravaganza!
