You Are Never Going to Get Out Of Here Alive
Imagine being caught in a situation where you know you will not survive it.
The situation itself is not entirely unpleasant or dangerous. That is, no one is holding a gun to your head or gagged and handcuffed you.
No one is threatening to throw you down a cliff either, for that matter.
But there is a looming dread and you know you are not going to outlive or out smart the events about to unfold.
The odds are stacked heavily against you. Come what may, even the luckiest stroke of luck is not going to cut it this time.
How would you feel? Would you panic or would you feel resigned to your doomed fate?
Would you cry, shout, freeze?
For most ordinary people living their mundane lives, this situation seems far fetched. This seems like the kind of situation drug cartels or secret agents on nefarious, dangerous missions could find themselves in. Cornered and trapped with a doomed fate — this is the stuff that movies are based on. Right?
Yet, we all are in this situation as I write this.
This situation, for better or worse, depending on how you are feeling today, is called life — and none of us are going to get out of it alive.
